Galileo for ESL students written and directed by Barbara Bregstein

Galileo is best known for the trial of 1633 which brought him mythic fame as the astronomer who asserted that the earth  revolved around the sun.  But there was more to his life story than that.  This play reveals the nature of his relationships with his mistress, his daughters, the pope, as well as the development of the telescope.
